the # is the inscription number of the ordinal. If you klick on the number you will be directed to the inscription proof on Gamma.io.
We have a clear process for the next names to be nscripted. After nomination there will be a voting process from the community to find out the next names to be inscripted per category. See Inscripion process in the main menu
For each category there will be at least once a year a new name inscripted. For some categories even 2 or 4 times a year. We will communicate at the beginning of each quater for which category the quaterly process will start.

Currently, we are not selling the ordinals. We are planning to implement a renting feature where you can have the ordinal for a specific amount of time in exchange for some bitcoin.
